Warthen: Walker Pond (See Photo Below) |
Description Walker Pond is one of AFGC’s favorite lakes. It is a secluded 40 acre lake surrounded by pine trees making bank fishing impossible, but providing excellent cover for the bass. Our fisheries biologist was extremely impressed by the fertility of the water, which is the most important element in having a healthy fishery. This lake has produced many double digit bass, including a 10 pounder this year. Along with the great bass fishing there is a great population of large bluegill and crappie for the light tackle fisherman. You must use a boat to fish the lake properly and there is a boat ramp for larger boats. |
General Directions About 60 miles Northeast of Macon. |
